Happy New Year!
It was good to back at training tonight. It was a great turnout and the weather seemed to be relatively kind to us.
We have a packed January in store for you and so I thought I’d write a quick note just to give you an overview of what will be happening over the next couple of weeks.
Firstly, we have a game against Bridgend Schoolboys on Saturday morning. The game will be played at home at Penclawwd rugby club. That is the main pitch not the pitch where we train. We would like to get the boys there for 930 so that we can get warmed up and ready to play. Myself and the other coaches have been to see them play and they are very well drilled side. However, we are confident that we can beat them.
After the game is played we will host Bridgend Schoolboys at Penclawwd rugby club and expect all the boys to come back to have sausage and chips with opposing team. There will be a small speech from both team captains before Bridgend head home. We will be collecting £3 from each player to cover the cost of the sausage and chips so please can you ensure that you have paid this before Saturday. You can pay it using the Llwchwr Schoolboys Bank details that we have provided previously. Please let us know if you need us to send you these details again.
We are hoping that our kit will be ready before the weekend. Keep your eyes peeled and we will let you know as soon as we know. If the kit is ready before Saturday then we will present it to the boys before the game.
We have games planned every Saturday now in January. The first game in the Cup will be away to Carmarthen on the 29th of January. We will post more information as soon as we have it. We expect to get a bus for this away game, which will be paid for by the District.
All fixtures will be posted on the website in the usual way so can you please respond and let us know if you are able to make it?
Finally, can you also please ensure that your players have been registered with the WRU and that all subs have been paid. Technically the boys are not allowed to play until you have been registered and paid the subs as this covers them for insurance.
as always if you have any questions just let us know
