It's Game Day, Boys!!!

It's finally here.
A day that wouldn't have been possible just 6 weeks ago. When I was told by the Headmaster of Tom's school that there would be no Llwchwr District side this season I was gutted for him and all the other kids that would potentially miss out on their first chance of playing representative rugby.
But after six weeks of craziness and a load of effort from the boys and the support of their "rugby widows," we've managed to pull it off.
We are really excited to be playing our first developmental game and the boys and girls at Dunvant Under-11s are licking their lips at the prospect of taking on a District side at their home, Broadacre. There will be a great atmosphere tonight as we play on the First Team pitch under lights.
Dunvant Under-11s have got nine boys in the Swansea Schoolboys District side and so this is going to be a stern test for us. They held an extra training session last night so they are definitely going to be up for it!
We are meeting at Broadacre at 6.15pm for the warm-up; please don't be late. We have posted the confirmed squad on the WhatsApp group. Please RSVP using the website if you haven't done so already. We've got 30 boys confirmed so far. Can you also let us know if you are NOT coming?
The Under 10's section at Dunvant are having a fund-raising event at the club tonight and will be serving hotdogs and mulled wine and they'd love your support.
The "Sin-Bin", which is situated under the marquee at the side of the First Team pitch, will be serving hot chocolate, teas and coffees to keep you warm during the warm-up and throughout the game. You can also have something stronger if you fancy it. Well, it is Friday 😀.
